These are common questions. Often, because of how you’ve been taught to measure yourself and how others have judged you, you may feel ‘not good enough’ for God. Maybe you’re just not one of those ‘special people’ who seem to have their lives together and that God can accept?
Well, good news friend – you’ll never be good enough for God, no matter what you do or don’t do! No one can be. The reason for that is because God’s standard isn’t just high…it’s perfect – and if you’re any less than perfect in thought, word and deed, then you may as well be a psychotic serial killer and infant rapist!
It’s Good news, because God already knew that you couldn’t be good enough, and that’s why he sent Jesus to take your place of sin. Jesus did this for the WHOLE world including you so that you can also be born again.
Here’s what the Bible says in John 3:16 (take note of the emphasized words)
For God so loved THE WORLD that he gave his only begotten son, that WHOSOEVER believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
And also in Romans 10: 11
Romans 10: 11 –As the Scripture says “ANYONE who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile – the same Lord is Lord of ALL and richly blesses ALL who call upon Him, For , “EVERYONE who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Are you in the world? Are you included in whosoever? Can you be counted in everyone? Are you one of the 7 billion anyone’s on Earth?
God didn’t exclude you or anyone else from being born again. It’s for ALL, ANYONE and EVERYONE.
Be confident, you’re not good enough to be acceptable to God, don’t try to be, just accept that Jesus Christ was good enough and paid the price of your imperfections so that God would hear, answer and accept your request to be born again, without judging you. No one can earn the right to be born again, it’s by faith ONLY, not performance.
